Since its foundation OSM has been concerned to create a Library that has been developing with periodicals and journals given in exchange for Schede Medievali, with the volumes and texts sent by publishing companies for review or with exchanges with other centres, foundations, associations and research institutions or with donations by authors and researchers and through a shrewd purchasing policy. Recently, for instance, there was the donation of the precious private library of Friedrich Stegmüller (1902-1981), the founder and first director of the Raimundus Lullus Institut (1957-1968). At present the Library, regularly open to the public and endowed with all the most advanced services for consumers, possesses around 20,000 volumes with significant annual implementation and over 250 journals and specialist periodicals, Italian and foreign; it has adhered to the SBN project and its patrimony will soon be available for consultation online.
